During the finals of the European Financial Quiz, which took place on May 7 this year in Brussels, the Polish Bank Association and the Warsaw Institute of Banking received an award from the European Banking Federation for the level of organization of the national stage of the competition, involving over 100,000 students from 28 European countries.
The European Financial Quiz, co-organized by national banking associations, consisted of three stages: a school stage, a national stage, and a European final. In Poland, the competition is being coordinated for the second year by the Polish Bank Association and the Warsaw Institute of Banking, which run one of the largest financial education programs in Europe – "Bankers for Education." It was Poland's organization of the national stage that received an additional award at this year's final.
Slovenia won the second edition of the European Financial Quiz, ahead of Macedonia and Germany, making their debut in the competition. Poland was represented by Jan Wanatowicz and Stanisław Dziura from Primary School No. 3 in Mielec.
