For the new 2020/2021 academic year, the Warsaw Institute of Banking, as part of the "Active Student" project, has prepared a starter pack of publications aimed at students. This year, the "Student's Portfolio" and "Students on the Real Estate Market" reports, as well as the "Active Student" newsletter, have been joined by a "Guide for Foreign Students"—available in Polish and three other languages.
"The publications, prepared with our partners, are a source of practical knowledge and advice on various areas of student life. They are worth reading, especially given the unique period the academic world has been experiencing during the past few months of the pandemic. The information gathered in these materials, in addition to many universal topics, also addresses current issues such as remote learning, cybersecurity, and the job market," said Michał Polak, Vice President of the Management Board of WIB.
The WIB starter package for students for the 2020/2021 academic year includes:
the seventh issue of "Aktywny Student" (Active Student), with a lot of information addressed primarily to first-year students who are just finding their place in the academic world
The fifth edition of the Polish Bank Association and WIB "Student's Wallet" Report, which includes information on students' monthly expenses and their level of financial literacy. The report also includes a practical guide on finance and cybersecurity.
The AMRON/WIB report, "Students on the Real Estate Market 2020," provides a detailed analysis of data on student rentals, which constitute a significant portion of the overall rental housing market in Poland. Since March 2020, the student real estate market has been significantly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, but the report includes the latest student rental data for this year.
„The "Guide for International Students," a new element of the student starter pack, is a collection of practical and proven information useful for international students pursuing studies at Polish universities. The guide is available in four languages: Polish, English, Spanish, and Ukrainian. Its content is divided into four thematic areas: safety, finances, support, and activity.
All materials have been prepared in paper and attractive online versions.
