About Poles' pre-Christmas loans in the latest ZBP report "infoKREDYT"„

"infoKREDYT 2017.12" report„
Poles are more likely to finance their expenses with various types of loans during the holiday season – this increase was noted by over 80% surveyed bankers – this is one of the conclusions from the latest public opinion survey commissioned by the Polish Bank Association. How many of us have a loan, and are we willing to pay by credit card? – answers to these and other questions are included in the December edition of the ZBP report – "infoKREDYT.".
In the survey, banking sector representatives clearly assessed the dynamics of changes in the credit market in the pre-holiday period – 82% of them stated that customer interest in consumer loans increases in the pre-holiday period. Over 50% bankers also assessed that the most popular consumer loans are in the PLN 2,000-5,000 range.
When financing investments and expenses, Poles prefer installment payments over a one-time payment for larger expenses (e.g., Christmas gifts for the entire family). Various credit products offered by banks, such as credit cards, consumer loans, and personal lines of credit, come in handy here. The popularity of individual credit products is described in detail in the report.
"Currently, most Poles are choosing to realize their life plans more quickly by using various forms of credit tailored to their needs and capabilities. Over two million Poles currently have a mortgage, and one-fifth of us has a credit card in our wallets. These products improve our quality of life, but they should always be used consciously and responsibly," comments Krzysztof Pietraszkiewicz, President of the Polish Bank Association. "That's why we have been committed for years to raising Poles' awareness of economics, banking, and cybersecurity," adds the President of the Polish Bank Association.
Combining the informational and educational elements, in the ZBP report "InfoKREDYT" each chapter is preceded by a guide section, which explains in an accessible way how to safely navigate the area of loans, what to pay attention to and what mistakes to avoid.
